Third Grade
Third grade is going to have a fun and amazing year! Third
graders will be learning some very interesting topics and
demonstrating many new skills. Two new major skills introduced
in third grade are multiplication and cursive handwriting.
We cannot stress enough how important practicing these skills at
home will be once we have taught them at school.
Another exciting activity third graders will participate in is
the Third Grade Roman Chariot Races. Students really enjoy
dressing as Romans, eating a Roman feast, and running in the
chariot race. Students will also create and illustrate
their own books, write a science report, and create Viking
memorabilia. Many students will be transitioning to more
challenging chapter books. Third graders also enjoy desks
and the responsibility of keeping them clean! Our teachers
will work hard to make third grade a successful year.
