“Reading is Out of this World”

The Scholastic Book Fair hosted by the sixth grade!

Wow! Thank you for making Challenge Charter School’s annual Scholastic Book Fair: “Reading Is Out of This World” and Ice Cream Social such a success! CCS sixth graders learned first-hand about running a business including, taxes, inventory and customer service. The creativity flowed with our “Intergalactic Helpers,” and they coordinated a fantastic event! 

Thanks to our supportive and caring parents, staff, administration and community. We would like to give a special thanks to Joseph Garcia with Blue Bell, for donating all of the ice cream and to all our parents for donating their time and all of the toppings we used at our ice cream social. The sixth graders will be leaving a legacy, using the money earned to purchase projectors for their building and books for all classrooms! We’re so excited!

Thanks to your support of the One For Books  program, many of our own  CCS families who are struggling this year, will have books to read this Holiday Season! Your generosity and support of your children and this community is so inspiring!

Watch this Spring for more reading fun with the Reading Rocks day and Family Reading Night. We encourage you to Turn off your TV and share a good book with your family tonight instead!
