Testing

Here at Challenge Charter School we have taken the responsibility of academic accountability very seriously from our very first year.  We continue to pre & post test our kindergarten & first graders. All of our other grades are tested annually by state mandate with norm-reference tests, and since 2000, as all other public schools, we have also tested our students annually with the Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS).   Our teachers also use unit and progress testing and evaluations of major project work and presentations.  We utilize a portfolio assessment of the State Standards.  These tools provide us with an evaluation of current year effectiveness of each of our classrooms.
